Vibratory Road Roller
A vibratory road roller compacts soil, sub-base and asphalt by combining static weight with drum vibration, giving high density in fewer passes. OCALWA supplies double-drum tandem rollers for asphalt and single-drum rollers for earthworks, around 10 tonnes with hydrostatic drive, matched to your layer thickness and material.
High density in fewer passes
An eccentric shaft inside the drum generates vibration that drives compaction energy deep into the layer, so the roller reaches target density faster than static weight alone. Dual-amplitude and dual-frequency settings let one machine handle thin asphalt lifts and thick soil layers.
Hydrostatic drive gives smooth, creep-free speed control on grades; articulated steering keeps both drums tracking; and a water sprinkler with scrapers stops asphalt sticking. Single-drum models add a padfoot shell or kit for cohesive soils.

A double-drum tandem roller is for asphalt and finished surfaces, giving a smooth, even mat. A single-drum roller (smooth or padfoot) is for soil, sub-base and aggregate in earthworks. If you both build the road base and pave, many contractors buy one of each. Tell us your work and we advise.
It depends on drum weight, amplitude and material. A ~10 t single-drum roller compacts soil lifts commonly up to 300 to 500 mm loose; a tandem asphalt roller works thinner finished lifts. Dual-amplitude lets you drop to a gentle setting for thin asphalt and a high setting for deep soil. We size it to your layers.
The roller reference figure on file comes from an earlier quotation whose validity has expired, and steel, engine and freight costs move over time. We always re-request a current factory price for the exact model, options and destination before you commit, so the number you order at is real.
Yes. Single-drum soil rollers can be supplied with a padfoot (sheepsfoot) drum or a bolt-on padfoot shell kit, which grips and kneads cohesive clay far better than a smooth drum. Tell us your soil type and we recommend smooth, padfoot or a combination.
A ~10 t roller ships in a standard flat-rack or open-top container, or by RORO for larger units. OCALWA arranges lashing, marine insurance and export documents. We can combine it with tippers or a batching plant in the same booking to reduce freight per machine.
Yes. Each roller ships with an operation and maintenance manual, and we provide setup and servicing guidance by video, covering vibration settings, sprinkler care and hydraulic checks. For fleet orders a technician can attend on site.
Yes. OCALWA consolidates the unit from a verified factory, arranges RORO or container shipping, and provides full export documentation (commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, bill of lading). We regularly ship to Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina, Paraguay and the Dominican Republic, and can quote FOB, CFR or CIF to your nearest port.
