Open-Frame Diesel Generator
An open-frame diesel generator mounts the engine, alternator, radiator, fuel tank and controller on a single rigid steel skid base, the workhorse configuration for industry, mining and grid backup where the set sits indoors or in a plant room. The industrial workhorse set
A diesel engine drives a brushless, self-exciting alternator with AVR voltage regulation for stable output under changing load. The steel skid carries an anti-vibration mounted engine, a radiator sized for hot climates, a base fuel tank for hours of running and a digital controller with engine protection and metering.
You choose the engine tier and the rating (prime or standby), and options such as an automatic transfer switch, larger fuel tank, battery charger, remote monitoring and heavy-duty air filters for dusty sites. It can later be fitted into a soundproof canopy or container.

Size on running load plus starting surge, not just the nameplate sum. Motors, pumps, compressors and AC units draw several times their rated current at start, so a set sized only on running watts will stall. Send us your equipment list (with the biggest motors) and whether they start together, and we calculate the kVA.
Standby rating is for backup when the grid fails, used a limited number of hours a year at varying load. Prime rating is for continuous running as the main power source, at a lower rated output for the same set. If it is your only power, size on prime; if it is grid backup, size on standby. We rate it to how you will actually run it.

Yes. We build 50 Hz or 60 Hz and set the voltage to your grid (for example 120/240V, 220/380V or 240/416V, single or three phase). Latin America is mostly 60 Hz. Tell us your country's frequency, voltage and phase and we configure the alternator and controller accordingly.
Yes, with the right build. We fit a radiator rated for high ambient temperature, heavy-duty or pre-cleaner air filters for dusty sites, and we de-rate the output for high altitude, since thinner air reduces engine power. Tell us your site temperature, dust and elevation and we adjust the spec.
The set uses mainstream international engines whose oil, fuel and air filters, belts and pumps are widely stocked across Latin America. We also supply a starter spares kit and can re-order alternator parts, the controller, AVR and hoses so downtime stays short.
Yes. Beyond the bare set we supply the automatic transfer switch (ATS), starting batteries, connection cables, remote monitoring and a starter spares kit, from a verified factory (ISO 9001 + CE). OCALWA arranges container or RORO shipping and full export documentation, and regularly ships to Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina, Paraguay and the Dominican Republic, quoting FOB, CFR or CIF.
